I get it. Trying to acknowledge that most everyone needs some relief after the bumper inflation a few years back that gets neatly brushed under the rug. Wages stagnant for a decade. Bills skyrocketed. But if all we have is these token gestures it feels ever more like we’re fucked. Up the personal allowance by about 50 percent.  Everything else is rearranging the deckchairs on The Titanic. I can hear a band playing….
